Ginger Baker

Legendary Cream drummer Ginger Baker owns a farm in the same town where I live. He's one of the worlds top drummers but he also knows his way around a polo field and manage his own polo team. On weekends the locals can go to his farm and watch international polo, in Saturdays match he was the referee. After the polo match Mr Baker played some drums for us.

Heroes of Running

Here's a preview of the Oscar Pistorius portrait I did for the Heroes of Running issue of Runner's World magazine. The video of Oscar at his house in Pretoria was shot by MJ on the same day I did the portrait.

Weird scenes inside the log cabin.

After the trauma of driving through Knysna and seeing all the AWB lamp poles, I was really looking forward to a relaxed evening with my friends. You know? A log cabin on the beach, good food, a nice bottle of red wine...

Via Knysna

Last month Stefan and myself took a drive up the coast to Plettenberg Bay to visit his friend Belinda. We made it safely to Belinda and sunset on a beach near Plett, but not before we had to drive through Knysna. Previously home to the hippie, the oyster and also The Pink Loerie Mardi Gras, we couldn't help but notice that Knysna was now littered with AWB posters. What the hell is going on there?

For the record...

that's not me in the sequence of skating pics in my blog header...I don't even wear glasses.
I'm just the person who took the pictures. The guy on the skateboard is Stefan, photographed in front of our house near Mossel Bay towards the end of 2007. Here's some of the images again, slightly larger.
